Corrective Therapeutic Massage: Corrective Therapeutic Massage is a mix of slow, deep strokes and controlled pressure focused on releasing tight, contracted areas of the body. It is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia that cause postural issues and pain. It is recommended for individuals who experience pain and tension, are involved in high physical activity such as athletes and laborers or repetitive activities such as typing, and patients who have sustained physical injury or surgeries. It is highly effective for realigning the body by manipulating the connective tissues in order to release stress patterns. This leads to improved posture and facilitates your body to maintain optimal function. Corrective Therapeutic Massage requires a solid understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the body. Top therapists, like myself, have technical skill, and are highly sensitive and aware of reactions taking place in the body during the work. |
Techniques That Are Used in Therapeutic Corrective Massage:
Deep tissues: This uses a firmer pressure working into the deeper muscle layers of the body. It affects the sub-layer of musculature and fascia and helps with chronic muscular pain, injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendinitis.
Myofacial Massage: Myofacial tissue surrounds and separates layers of muscle, it is prone to getting tight and restricting the muscles which is the cause of many muscular pains and issues. Myofacial massage is designed to open up these tissues. It uses deep, slow manipulations of the myofascial tissue loading it with a constant force and motion until tissue release occurs. Direct myofascial release seeks for changes in the myofascial structures by stretching, elongation of fascia, or mobilizing adhesive tissues. It increases blood flow to the muscles, improves lymphatic drainage, range of motion in joints and reduces pain. It is very effective for injury and post surgery rehab, whether they are newly sustained or years old.
Trigger Point Therapy: Trigger points are small areas of the muscles that have contracted, often referred to as "knots" in the muscles. A static pressure is held over the trigger point which causes the contracted tissues to slowly relax and release.

Add Aromatherapy Essential Oils to Any Massage for additional $5 only!
Aromatherapy Massage: An essential oil is an aromatic, therapeutic essence which is obtained from a natural botanical source. Essential oils each have different therapeutic effects on the body, mind, and soul. For example, rosemary is energizing, chamomile is calming, and orange eases tension. Some essential oils can be analgesic, antispasmodic, or antibacterial. They can act as a sedative or a stimulant and are beneficial to aid in skin care and even promote the healing of wounds. An aromatherapy massage is a form of massage therapy that combines the benefits of aromatherapy with those of massage to promote well-being and healing. This form of massage therapy utilizes the aromatherapy essential oils as massaging agents. The added medicinal powers of these oils greatly enhance the effectiveness of the massage. When inhaled and absorbed through the skin, aromatherapy oils can help affect your physical and well-being, enhancing the effects of the massage. |
